May 8th - Mike Cooling - Part 1

Joining Bill in the studio this week was Mike Cooling. Bill brought his electronic piano in for Mike to play, as Mike prefers it to his own. Mike played a great set of original songs with a few covers in the mix, too. We were going to talk about the recent Filey Folk Festival, but we had that many new tracks to play we didn't really get time, though the Weird Record of The Week was from a couple who we met at Filey.

Joining Bill in the studio this week was The Personas making their debut on the show. In fact, it's the first time they've played since 2010. Featuring Mike and Ed both on guitar and vocals, they perfomed a great set of original music, including a new track they've just written, and ended on an excellent cover of Neil Young's Rockin' In A Free World.
