Joining Bill, Loz & Steve in the studio this week was Church Fenton-based folk band Fool's Mate, who nervously made their first appearance on the show and who played an excellent selection of their own music. The three guys in the band have all been butchers and pie makers in the past, and one of them is also a world authority on tortoises, which we decided were basically crunchy meat pies for drunks, and Sally, the fiddle player, is posh!

Joining Bill, Steve and Loz in the studio this week was two musicians both making their debuts on the show. Lindsey Simpson, from Hull and Jimbo Doomface, from York. Lots of great music coupled with lots of Frothy Coffee made the show one to remember, and Jimbo now holds the record for having the slackest bladder in musicland!

Joining Bill & Loz in the studio this week for live music was Richard Sylvester - guitar tutor and singer/acoustic guitarist of the Off The Road Psychedelic Super Skiffle Band - making his first appearance on the show, and Tony Cooke, making his 3rd. Both Richard and Tony appeared at the Filey Folk Festival. Richard played a selection of songs by Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen as well as asking Bill to join in on the One-String Fretless Bass on a couple of skiffle songs, and Tony played from his back-catalogue.

Joining Bill, Loz & Steve in the studio this week was Driffield-based duo Ollie & Neil, making their welcome return to Vixen Towers. From the start, the show went to pot when Bill answered the door and found that the lads had brought Dodgy Jim, blues harp player extraordinaire, with them. Web stream failure followed, and at the start of the third hour, Bill managed to play the wrong jingle, and didn't realise, so had to restart the Aftermath. It just goes to show that we broadcast live.

Joining Bill & Steve in the studio this week was Cottingham-based singer/songwriter Adam Davison, making his debut appearance on the show. At 23 years old, he as a good career in front of him, whereas we have a good career behind us. Loz was off for the 2nd week on the trot - at this rate she'll be gaining Catweazle status (only joking, Loz, and get well soon).

April 13th was the date, The Fulford Arms, York, was the venue and The 3rd Annual Fox's Den Fest was the event. Bill took with him a Tascam digital recorder that he only learned how to use an hour before the event, and used it to record one song from each of the acts who played. Joining Bill and Steve in the studio for live music was the excellent Nick Rooke Band, making their first visit to The Den. They also slapped each other quite a lot, drank frothy coffee and ate malteasers! They can come back again! We also had a pre-Fox's Den Festival Dylan song to get us in the mood for the forthcoming festival season, too.
